An exceptional day on the other side of the Atlas. The road crosses the Tichka pass at 2,260 m before descending towards the ochre landscapes of the south. The ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a fortified earthen village listed by UNESCO, has served as the backdrop for many films. After the visit, head to Ouarzazate, the 'gateway to the desert', with its film studios and the Taourirt kasbah.
